You may use the Service only if you are at least 18 years old.
Welcome to Lookyou (Lookyou, LY, we, or our in various case forms). Lookyou gives you a fast, convenient, and fun way to share content with others. Just fill out the forms in your profile, create a channel, post your news or thought in What’s New, take a photo, like it, add a comment (if you want), and share it!
Our Privacy Policy governs how we and some of the companies we partner with collect, use, share and protect information when you use our mobile platform applications, mobile services, website and any software provided on or in connection with Lookyou services (collectively, the “Service”), as well as your options to control the collection and use of your information.
By using our Service, you understand and agree that we provide you with a platform to publish content, including photos, text descriptions, comments, and other information (“User Content”), on our Service and to publicly distribute User Content. This means that other Users may search for, view, use, or distribute any User Content (including Your Content) that you make publicly available through the Service, subject to the terms of our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use (located at: for Russian language — https://about.lookyou.life/ru/terms, for English language — https://about.lookyou.life/en/terms).
Our Policy applies to all visitors, users and others who access the Service (“Users”).
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect the following information.
Information you provide to us directly:
Your username, password and email address entered when registering your Lookyou account.
Information you have entered into your user profile (e.g. nickname, first and last name, photo, phone number). This information allows you and other users to be “found” in Lookyou.
User content (such as photos, comments, and other materials) published on the Service.
Correspondence between you and Lookyou. For example, we may send you Service-related emails (such as registration confirmations, information about changes and updates to Service features, technical and security notices). Please note that you cannot opt out of Service-related emails.
Lookyou dating network (LYDN):
LY dating network is our concept of dating, communication, blogging and social features.
The main LY front consists of three mobile applications for the android and iPhone platforms. Basically, these applications are separated from each other by the sexual orientation of the user. Mobile applications are created for: men and women, only guys and only girls. By creating an account in one application with a specific email and password, you will not be able to use this email and password in another application to get into the same account. By this we want to tell you that using the same pair of email + password in three applications, you thereby create three accounts that are not connected with each other. Thus, no one will know about your preferences when you publish content. Since the content will be tied to your account in a specific application. And yes, you can use your email in our several applications to register an account.
Information about your location affects the correct operation of the functions of the application that you have installed on your phone.
Information about your location is collected for features such as displaying approximate distances to another Service user, showing users who are nearby, for our services, for analytics, and for other features of our Service.
How to search for users in Lookyou:
LY is a dating network with social networking features, a content publishing platform, a «people finder» and other features.
We initially adhere to the concept of «Lookyou dating network», the essence of which is to create a simple and convenient atmosphere for various acquaintances between people who have something in common.
To make you feel comfortable in LY, we have divided the profile into three parts and called them questionnaires.
When registering, a basic dating profile is available, in which you specify data for meeting another user of the Service — LY dating network (nickname is required, other data is optional). After creating the basic part of the profile, you can create a public part («public profile»), which allows you to isolate the basic profile from the public one and specify a new nickname and other data in the public profile. The public profile is not intended for dating, its purpose is to create a channel and publish various content in it. Channels are available in all LY dating network applications, so the public profile has information different from the basic profile, and it is available in all applications of our network. Your information in the public part of the profile will be visible to all users of our Service. All users will be able to leave likes, comments and interact with your content in various ways. Depending on your settings and the settings of the user who responded to your content in the public part of the profile and the basic profile, we will display different data to both you and such a user.
How to find your friends in Lookyou (if such functionality is offered in the application and/or Service):
If you wish, you can use the Find Friends feature to find other people with a Lookyou account using: 1) your contact list; 2) third-party social networks; 3) search by Lookyou name and username.
If you search for friends using (1) your device’s contact list, Lookyou will access your contact list to determine whether people on your list use Lookyou.
If you search for friends using (2) the Lookyou name or username search function, simply enter the relevant name into the search form and we will search our Service.
Parts of the Service:
Lookyou is not limited to mobile applications, our Service also includes various websites and software, databases, APIs, etc. provided by us. The same person may have different accounts in different parts of the Service, but this privacy policy may apply to such person. All users of the LYDN Service should familiarize themselves with this policy and the Rules.
Analytical information:
We use third-party analytics tools to evaluate traffic and usage trends on the Service. These tools collect information sent by your device or our Service, including data about the pages you visit, browser extensions, and other information that can help us improve the Service. We collect and use this analytics information in combination with analytics received from other Users in such a way that it is not possible to objectively determine the identity of any specific User based on it.
Cookies and similar technologies:
When you visit the Service, we may use cookies and other similar technologies (such as pixels, web beacons, and local storage) to collect information about how you use Lookyou and to provide you with relevant features.
We may use advertisers or other partners to deliver advertisements or services to your devices, which may use cookies or similar technologies placed by us or third parties. Mobile applications do not use cookies.
For more information, please see the About Cookies section here .
Log file information:
Log file information is automatically provided by your browser each time you request to access (i.e. visit) a web page or application. It may also be provided when the content of a web page or application is downloaded to your browser or device.
When you use the Service, our servers automatically record certain log file information, including your request data, IP address, and browser type; the page from which you entered the site; the page from which you left the site; the URLs of such pages, the number of clicks and interactions with links on the Service; domain names, landing pages, pages viewed; location information and other similar information. We may also collect such information from emails sent to our Users so that we can track which messages have been viewed and what links the recipient has clicked. This information helps us compile more accurate reports and improve the Service.
Device identifiers:
When you use a mobile device (such as a tablet or phone) to access our Service, we may access, collect, track, and store one or more device identifiers on your device and/or remotely. Device identifiers are small data files or similar data structures that are stored on (or associated with) your mobile device and that uniquely identify it. A device identifier may be data stored in connection with the device hardware; data stored in connection with the operating system or other software of the device; or data sent by Lookyou to the device.
A device identifier may provide us or a third party with information about how you navigate and use the Service, which may help us or others compile reports or personalize advertisements and other content. Some features of the Service may not function properly if device identifiers are partially or completely unavailable.
Metadata:
Metadata is typically technical data associated with User Content. For example, Metadata may describe how, when, and by whom a piece of User Content was obtained and how that content is formatted.
Users can add or have added Metadata to their User Content, including a hashtag (e.g. to tag keywords when posting a photo), a geotag (e.g. to tag your location in a photo), comments, or other data. This makes your User Content more searchable and interactive. If you tag a photo with a location or use other APIs, your latitude and longitude will be stored with the photo and will be searchable (e.g. using location or map search), provided that you have made your photo public by indicating so in your privacy settings.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
In addition to some of the specific purposes for using information described in this Privacy Policy, we may use the information we collect to:
help you quickly access your information after signing in;
remember information so that you do not have to re-enter it during your current or next visit to the Service;
provide you and others with personalized content and information, which may include online advertisements or other marketing materials;
ensure the operation, improve, test and monitor the effectiveness of the Service;

Our Service Providers will have access to your information to the extent reasonably necessary to provide the Service, under reasonable confidentiality terms.
We may also share certain information (such as cookie data) with third-party advertising partners. This information will allow third-party advertising organizations to, among other things, deliver advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you.
We may delete some of the data that can be used to identify you (if you have left such data in the Service) and transfer anonymized data to third parties. In addition, we may combine your information with other information in such a way that it cannot be associated with you, and transfer this aggregated information to third parties.
Parties with whom you may choose to grant access to your User Content:

If you delete information you have posted on the Service, copies of it may remain available in cached and archived pages of the Service or if other Users or third parties have used the Lookyou API to copy or store that information.
We would like to inform you separately that the photo and video files you upload are stored in an open form. They can be accessed via a direct web link. Please take this into account when posting your photos and videos. We use modern technologies to place the specified files on our servers and protect them from free access from outside, using reasonable measures (for example, complex links to files, «one-time links», password protection, etc.) to prevent unauthorized access to your photo and video files. But we do not guarantee that these files will not be accessible to anyone who accesses them via a direct link. Internet network technologies do not protect information about the http request (it may contain a direct link to your photo or video file). Therefore, before uploading photo and video files to the Service, independently assess the potential risks of their content.

However, you will still own your User Content. The buyer or acquirer will be bound by the commitments we make in this Privacy Policy.
Responding to official inquiries and preventing harm:
We may access, preserve, and share your information in response to a legal request (such as a search warrant, court order, or subpoena) after making a good faith determination that the request is lawful. Among other things, we may respond to legal requests from countries outside the European Union, Russia, or the United States if we believe in good faith that the law of that country or territory requires it, affects users in that country or territory, and complies with internationally accepted standards. We may also access, preserve, and share information if we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to detect, prevent, or address fraud or other illegal activity; to protect ourselves, you, or others, including during an investigation; or to prevent death or imminent danger to health. We may access, process and retain information we receive about you for a longer period of time if it is the subject of a formal request or legal obligation, a government investigation, an investigation into possible violations of our terms or policies, or otherwise to prevent harm.
